As we all know Minecraft is one of the best open-world games and the reason, Minecraft is more appealing is because in the game you can go anywhere you want, even you can make some awesome crazy things, and all are mostly relatable with the real world.
The best thing about this game is you can see everything in detail. As I told you that here in the game you will find many things, and all of them have so many uses in the Minecraft world.
Lead is also one of the things that you can also find in the real world and in the Minecraft world. The use of lead is mostly the same in the Minecraft world.
For your kind information let me tell you that lead can be more helpful for you if you are looking for different mobs or animals in particular areas, and wanna control them.
There are many two different ways to create a lead in Minecraft.
The first is by using slimeball, and the second is without using a slimeball. Both ways are so easy so you don’t have to worry, because you can easily make it by using some easy steps.
Leads in Minecraft or What is a lead?
Lead is an item that was added in the 1.6 updates for Minecraft. Basically, you can use lead to tie any mob or animals with anything such as a fence or wall, and by attaching it with a visible knot you can tie the mob to it. (However, you can only do this in Bedrock edition)
By holding the lead in the main hand you can easily attach it to the wall or fence.
Note: You can hold multiple leads at the same and also you can attach them in one fence post. The range of the lead is around 5 blocks far from the fence in every direction. But however lead can stretch a maximum of 10 blocks before breaking.
If you make any wolf angry then you won’t able to leash them so make sure that you are leashing a calm wolf.
By pressing the use item on the mob again after using it, you can easily break the lead. There are many other ways to break the lead such as hitting by knot or projectiles. You can also do it by removing the attached fence post.
Fact: If you enter into the nether portal and back out of a nether portal while holding a lead connected to a mob then the lead will be attached to the mob, but if mobs or animals are tied with a lead and enters into the nether portal then the lead will breaks and drops as an item in the other dimension.

How to make a lead in Minecraft
To create a lead first you will have to gather some important materials that you will be needed to create a lead in Minecraft. Make sure that you have collected all the things just as I am gonna say otherwise you won’t able to craft lead in Minecraft.
Required Materials to create a lead in Minecraft
To create a lead you will have to gather three major things…and those are
- 1 Slimeball
- 4 strings
- 1 Crafting table
Now the question is where you can find slimeball in Minecraft because it is something that is a little difficult to find but possible, and if you are reading this then you will get so easily by going those places which I am going to say 😉
Where can you find slimeball in Minecraft?
By killing slimes:
You can easily get slime balls if you kill slimes because slime always drops slimeballs after their death. Finding them is so easy because these creatures spawn in swamp biomes or below the ground in caves under layer 40.
Note: There are some slimes that are really big in size and you should beware of them because they can damage a player’s health when they attack.
However, it is also difficult to kill an adult slime because when you will kill them it will split into multiple smaller slimes, so you must have to kill those smaller slimes too to get slimeballs.
Sneezing baby panda:
This is one of the other ways to get slimeballs in Minecraft, but it’s not much effective than killing slimes. Basically when a baby panda sneeze there is a 0.01666% chance of sneezing every tick, which will occasionally drop a slimeball.
Basically, a panda spawn in jungle biomes, so you can easily find them by finding little.
Note: Just like other natural mobs so you should always be aware of them, I mean make sure you won’t hit them otherwise they can attack you.
Now we have to gather strings in Minecraft so here’s the way to get strings in Minecraft, so…
Where can you find strings in Minecraft?
Basically, by killing spiders you can easily get strings, and you know that spiders can be found mostly in the dark areas or in jungle biomes. Every spider drops a minimum of 1 string after its death, so it will be a good idea.
Create Crafting table
Now all you have to do is create a crafting table or if you already have one then you don’t have to create another one. If you don’t know yet how you can create a crafting table then let me tell you how you can craft a crafting table.
To create a crafting table you will have 4 planks and by crafting logs in the crafting menu you can easily get planks. Now just put 4 planks inside the 2×2 crafting grid and that’s it. After that, you will see the crafting table in the result box.
If you gathered all the materials just as I said then without further ado let me tell you How to make a lead in Minecraft.
Steps to craft a lead in Minecraft
First, all you have to do is open the crafting table you create, and there you will see a 3×3 crafting grid. All you have to do is put those materials inside the crafting table.
Though you have to put them in a pattern so let me tell you how to put them properly. so let me tell you what’s the pattern you have to follow…
Step 1: Here in the first row you have to put two strings in the first two empty boxes.
Step 2: In this step, you have to put one string in the second row’s first empty box, and the slime ball in the second box.
