That is why I am here with some good laptops with having top-tier specs on everything from RAM to the graphics card and even the display screen. So, in short, I hope you will read this article that we wrote after a lot of research to find out the best one.
Best gaming laptop under 2000 dollars in 2022
1. Razer Blade 15
Best high-performing gaming Laptop
|SPECIFICATIONS||CPU: 2.4GHz Intel Core i9-11900H (eight cores, 24MB cache, up to 4.9GHz Turbo).|
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 || RAM: 32GB
Display: 15-inch 4K Touch OLED, 60Hz || Storage: 1TB SSD
Ports: 2 x Thunderbolt 4, 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1 x SD Card reader, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Power, 1 x Kensington Lock
Connectivity: Intel Wireless Wi-Fi 6E AX210 (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Bluetooth 5.1
Camera: FHD Webcam w/ IR
Weight: 4.4lbs (2.01kgs) || Size: 13.98 x 9.25 x 0.67 inches
The Razer Blade 15’s design is still the same as before, so will also see the all-black unibody aluminum chassis and the Razer logo illuminated on the top of the laptop. You will also see unexpected high-quality speakers, which is one of the most essential things in a gaming laptop.
However, the most incredible thing about this laptop is its thin and light body, and having such powerful hardware weighing just 4.4lb is just amazing. So overall the Razer Blade 15 is one of the most portable laptops in its class, and such features make it more comfortable in gaming performance.
Unfortunately, this portability laptop has been deceived at least somewhat by large charging bricks. Also, the size of this laptop is a bit smaller than previous versions of the Razer laptops, but it still adds a bit of bulk to the package.
Yes as expected the gaming performance with an 11th-generation Core i7 processor and an RTX 3080 can dominate any game.
It also comes with a 4K touch OLED display, and trust me it’s gorgeous. It also has a nice brightness of around 313 nits, which isn’t the brightest in the world, but when combined with the ability to hit 109% of the sRGB color spectrum.
The most unexpected thing about this laptop is that it can handle games at 4K with ease. However, the mobile version of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 isn’t nearly as powerful as the desktop version, So it struggles a bit when playing 4k games, especially when features like ray tracing are brought to the table.
Games like Middle Earth: Shadow of War and Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers can be played at max graphics on this laptop with a framerate above 60 fps. However, there are many couples of heavy games which can’t be played at higher graphics (Such as Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077).
We also got easy benchmarks that easily scored 72 fps and 65 fps in Total War: Three Kingdoms and Metro Exodus, respectively. Now if you are thinking about why I used all technically older games then let me tell you that these old games are well enough that can easily push hardware to its limits, which is why we use them in testing.
Incredibly here unlike other gaming laptops, you will see a good battery life which will enhance the gaming experience much longer. The overall battery life of this gaming laptop is around six hours and 16 minutes. which is not so high as Asus ROG Strix G15 but good in producing the same experience at 100% or 5% Battery life.
|PROS||++ Very high gaming performance.|
++ Sleek, slim design with a beautiful premium metal build design.
++ Plenty of ports and 1TB of speedy storage.
++ 1440p panel, with formidable GPU power to leverage its 240Hz.
++ QHD resolution
++ Long battery life and 1080p webcam.
|CONS||— While playing high-end games it started getting hot. |
— Shallow keyboard.
— Short battery life.
— Not quite desktop equivalent.
2. ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition
Best gaming Laptop with high-end specifications
|SPECIFICATIONS||CPU: 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX|
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800M with 12GB of GDDR6
Display: 15.6-inch, FHD (1920×1080) IPS-level 300Hz panel with FreeSync

OS: Windows 10 Pro
Weight: 2.367 kg || Size: 14 x 10.25 x 0.8 inches
For your kind information let me tell you that AMD doesn’t make its own gaming laptops. But here you will see Asus as the manufacturer of this gaming laptop who literally did everything to ensure the high performance in G15 Advantage Edition screams AMD.
Before buying you should also know that this is not a completely thin gaming laptop with an all-aluminum body, so in case you are planning to get a laptop with these qualities then choose any other laptop from our list. Basically, the lid and the keyboard deck are only aluminum otherwise, everything else is unabashedly plastic.
You will also see a light up Asus’ ROG logo when the laptop will be turned on. Forgot to mention that you will see another logo on the lid: AMD’s. However, the AMD logo doesn’t light up and isn’t as prominent.
On the laptop, you will see a replaceable black and red cap. However in case you want something less showy then gray and clear smoky colors are also available.
Btw in ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition, Asus puts the thicker, plus-sized body to work in cooling. Laptops with more efficient liquid metal on the CPU have been available for a few years now and here you will see the same thing the GPU.
Keyboard and trackpad:
On the ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition, you will see an advanced fairly smooth trackpad with Microsoft Precision driver support.
Our unit had a slight trackpad “bounce” to it, which we’ve seen occasionally when the trackpad isn’t firmly mounted, resulting in a slight rattle. We think it’s an anomaly of our unit but are obligated to mention it. As expected the keyboard is a very standard rubber-dome keyboard with decent travel and no major layout issues.
here you will also see RGB backlighting which is surely a great thing, however, you will see zone-lit backlighting rather than per key.
Asus does such a wonderful job with the rainbow unicorn vomit that most people won’t know the difference. There’s also perimeter RGB lighting around the base of the laptop.
Webcam and speakers:
With the help of pair of four-watt speakers, you will experience something extraordinary surrounding sound quality. As compared to many small laptops that we’ve already tested these laptops offer far more bass, mid-range, and presence than most smaller gaming laptops do.
However, while testing the webcam we found a problem, which you can see compared to MSI’s GE76 Raider’s 1080p webcam (upper left) and the 720p webcam of an HP Elite Dragonfly (upper right.). The small not much noticeable webcam on the Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is one of the best tiny cameras I have ever seen.
|PROS||++ Affordable price for the performance it offers.|
++ Comfortable keyboard.
++ Long battery life.
++ 300Hz screen.
++ Excellent audio quality.
++ Customisable lighting system.
|CONS||— No Webcam.|
— Some outdated ports.
— Dim Display.

3. MSI GL66 Pulse
High-Performance Gaming Under a Budget
|SPECIFICATIONS||CPU: Intel Core i7 11800H|
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU 6GB GDDR6, 1,425 MHz boost clock, 85W TGP. || Battery: 53 WHr
Display: 15.6 inches, 1920 x 1080, IPS-level, 144 Hz
Storage: 1TB Seagate Guardian Barracuda 5400 RPM, 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD || RAM: 16GB DDR4/3200
Ports: 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, 1x USB 2.0, HDMI, RJ-45 Internet, 3.5mm combination headphone/microphone jack.
OS: Windows 10 Home || Webcam: 720P
Weight: 4.63 pounds || Size: 14.13 x 10 x 0.94 inches
as expected here in MSI Pulse GL66 (2022), you will see a star-studded spec list. However, the outer shell of this laptop is not quite impressive, and that makes me a little upset. Also, the laptop’s deck is made out of plastic, which is a very big disappointment following my experience with all-metal builds gaming laptops at this range.
Here you will see a ‘Titanium Gray color scheme on the metal body, including an iconic MSI dragon logo.
The laptop is also very large as compared to other gaming laptops in this range, with a stonking 23.9mm height and a cumbersome weight of 2.25kg that will rule this portable out of frequent office commutes. The manufacturer gave the performance this laptop is capable of, but still, it’s very hard to be too critical of its large frame
The plastic bezel around the screen feels a little too chunky for my liking, especially at the top where the webcam is located. Video and photo capture look good at 720p – there’s a noticeable grainy pixelation, but it’s still perfectly adequate for the job Zoom calls.
The keyboard is also great when playing games like Total War: Warhammer 3, Fortnite, etc. However, I’d still like a little more travel in the keys. Sometimes you’ll even feel like the keyboard is lacking in the feel of a mechanical keyboard.
As expected, the keyboard has RGB lighting support, but not to the extent that you can change the lighting for each key—you get a single backlight and can only set one color at a time.
This MSI Pulse GL66 can easily run easily up to 6 hours on a single charge, which is really a decent amount of time as compared to other laptops at this range.
Frankly speaking, most gaming laptops are not that good enough when it comes to battery life but in the case of MSI Pulse GL66, it gave a long-lasting fared better than expected. And as I said earlier then 6 hours of battery life will be visible which is quite impressive.
|PROS||++ Affordable price.|
++ Very easy to upgrade.
++ Vibrant, high-refresh display.
++ Solid gaming performance with GeForce RTX 3060.
++ Full-sized keyboard.
|CONS||— Limited VRAM on the GPU.|
— Mostly plastic Body.
— Gets a little hot.
4. Alienware M15 R4 (Premium)
High-Performance Gaming Under a Budget
|SPECIFICATIONS||CPU: Intel Core i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2.21 GHz|
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
Display: 15 inches, 4K OLED
Storage: 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD || RAM: 16GB
Ports: 1 x MicroSD-Card Reader, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1 x HDMI 2.1b with HDCP 2.2 Output, 1 x Mini DisplayPort 1.4, 1 x Thunderbolt 3, 1 x Alienware Graphics Amplifier Port, 1 x Power/DC-In Port, 1 x Wedge-Shaped Lock Slot, 1 x Killer Networks E3100x Gigabit Ethernet NIC, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A with Powershare Technology, 1 x Audio Out (Compatible with inline mic headset)
Connectivity: Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i 802.11ax 2×2 Wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 5.1
OS: Windows 10 Home
Weight: 4.65lbs || Size: 15.3 x 12.0 x 1.0 inches
Interestingly in Alienware gaming PCs, you will see a difference in the division of parts which makes Alienware laptops different bold-looking than other laptops. If you have already used or seen Alienware laptops then unfortunately you will see nothing new or special but still, it’s nice though.
With the features and sleek white finish, emblazoned emblem, and RGB lighting, the Alienware M15 R4 become one of the most decent and very cool gaming laptops.
The keyboard is also very satisfying to use, and RGB-imbued so all is well here.
The hinge of the laptop’s screen is set forward on the machine (‘toward you’) to allow for ports and fans in the rear of the machine’s posterior. It’s surprisingly still neat; While other laptops will hit the hinge exactly where the top meets the bottom, also the front hinge fits into the design and provides space for those rear ports which are helpful.
However in this case Alienware m15 R4 is the biggest fail since it will only last 4 hours and 28 minutes on the Modern Office test, and just one hour and 27 minutes on the Gaming test. However, guys don’t get me wrong; I love this laptop so much too because of its unbelievable performance and stunning design.
So my only wish is, I could game on it longer without needing to connect it to a power outlet.
To put everything in one perspective, a 2020 Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 can deliver over 8 hours of battery life. Granted, that model has the RTX 2060, but the difference is still huge (about half that, actually) and the G14 is much smaller and thinner. Not to mention the fact that the RTX 3070 is also going to bring massive improvements in power efficiency.
Keyboard and touchpad:
While some gaming laptops include full mechanical keyboards (with mixed results), the Alienware m15 R4 keeps things simple with an elegant membrane setup, and I think this is why each key feels great, with short travel, fast speed, and a fast spring-back.
However, the keys be a bit tight sometimes, and replacement errors were more common but still, I liked the way it feels while typing and all. If you have long fingers then this is like a build feature for you cause there’s a ton of bezel space around the keyboard, which makes me wonder if the keys could have been positioned a little better.
On the other hand, I was quite happy with the four-zone RGB options, which sent a light iridescent wave across the keys as I typed. (You can also change the colors in the Alienware software or disable RGB altogether.)
With an amazing decent touchpad, this laptop can easily earn the highest praise I have ever bestowed upon a gaming laptop’s touchpad. In short, the laptop’s touchpad is positioned in such a way as to avoid errant palm inputs and tracks purposeful movements accurately.
|PROS||++ Very high performance.|
++ Awesome combination of new components
++ Wonderful Design.
++ 1080p display is vibrant.
++ Decent keyboard and touchpad.
|CONS||— Fans are a little loud.|
— Battery life could be better.
— Soldered RAM
